The Samsung 172w monitor is a 17 inch widescreen LCD monitor. This makes it longer than a regular 17 inch LCD horizontally, but shorter vertically. It has a maximum and native resolution of 1280x768, and a 15:9 aspect ratio. It comes with everything you need to get started and more. It has DVI capabilities. The specs indicate that it is one of the brightest LCDs on the market at 450 cd/m2. The model I’m reviewing even has built in speakers. Does this monitor’s performance stack up to its spec sheet?
