Samsung SyncMaster 172T

Just as ATI and Intel have dominated their respective markets, Samsung has done the same.  Samsung has provided a product that does not have any basis for complaints.  The pricing of this LCD could be a little more attractive, and I am sure it will end up decreasing.  OLED (Organic LED technology) does not appear to be on Samsung's to-do list.  This technology would provide for no need in backlight and a crisper image.  We only hope Samsung's next revisions will include a LCD with a lesser response time.  Ghosting was not noticeable unless you looked directly for it -- Unreal Tournament 2003 looked great on it.  Over all, we were impressed as we have been in the past.

 PROS:
-DVI & Analog inputs
-Excellent viewing angles
-Excellent brightness
-Crisp image & overall high quality construction

CONS:
-Pricing is a bit on the high side, but CRTs are becoming a thing of the past.
