Here is the beauty in all its fury...
Another thing that was different with this LCD versus the SyncMaster 191T we had previously reviewed, was that the monitor did not pivot. I assume it would not have been possible to use the pivot base with this one, because it would only make it more bulky. In addition, I really do not know how many people actually found that function useful. I had absolutely no complaints about the brightness of this LCD. I took this piece of work for a spin and tried out Unreal Tournament 2003 on it. The picture looked pretty good for a LCD. After tweaking the settings, any ghosting that was present was hardly noticeable. The only time you would find a problem is if you focused on it for a long time and the thought of such an imperfection would be running through your head that it would make you think that there is something to complain about. During regular use, the LCD purveyed a crisp and clean-cut picture. It is like the feeling that once you buy a BMW or what not that you could never go back to driving something such as a Dodge Neon. The clearness provided by this monitor makes it perfect for graphic design and animation. You may be wondering now, what puts this LCD above all others? The answer is that its physical appearance is quite attractive and that its performance is nothing less than high quality. Ghosting is minimal and you get what you pay for. It is an investment that you should not be afraid to make, the three-year warranty will protect this investment even further. Next Page: Conclusion |
