Technical Specifications: Right off the bat we noticed that the bezel size increased in comparison to the SyncMaster 191T. A smaller bezel makes it easier to put two of the same LCDs together for a dual monitor setup. The response time of this LCD was the same as the SyncMaster 191T (25ms rise and fall). The market is attempting to reduce this number, which represents the comparable refresh rate of a CRT, but more so represents the amount of time it takes the LCD's pixels to go from all off (black) to all on (white) and back to all off.
The major difference between Samsung's past LCD innovations and this was the change in design of the base (also known as the stand). The video connections (both VGA and DVI) along with the power connection was moved to the base of the monitor. This would make wall mounting very simple with just a bracket that would have to be screwed into the wall. The LCD folds flat as pictured above. The navigation of the LCD is made simple with buttons just like the ones on the SyncMaster 191T. The main difference is that the input (DVI or Analog) can now be adjusted with the press of a button. With the wall mounting bracket the LCD can be flushly mounted against the wall with a depth of only 2". In addition, the LCD has a titling range of ninety degrees. When the LCD is being used in an Analog environment, the "Auto" button will automatically adjust the proportioning of screen geometry, contrast, brightness and clock-phase with in seconds. Included on the CD is Samsung's Natural Color software, which tunes the monitor to ensure that the colors are consistent with the original images. Next Page: The
