The Ratpad was designed by Kyle Bennett, aka FrgMaster, from [H]ard|OCP. This is no ordinary pad and is not made of cloth like most pads are. The Ratpad itself measures about the same size as a 8.5" x 11" piece of printer paper and is made of hard (now I mean hard) plastic (what do you expect from someone at HardOCP, something soft?). In addition to its durability the pad is ergonomically designed for your hand. The surface of the Ratpad is very smooth, now I really mean VERY smooth. I noticed a big difference from my desk switching to the Ratpad. The smoothness purveys some serious accuracy, but at the beginning can make game playing a hassle, as when switching to any different surface. After getting used to the pad, I must say it was an "excellent computing experience". Because of its size and the amount of space on my desk I had to turn the pad side ways, as I do with other mouse pads.
Other mouse pads tend to slip on the surface they are located on, but this one didn't move an inch. The Ratpad has nine "rubber feet" which keep it from moving.
