Written: Tuesday, June 25, 2002 I come home, find two packages waiting for me. I open them up and smile. One thought crosses my mind: Welcome to the new and improved gamers and multimedia enthusiasts world. No it was not a dream, but rather I had two of ATI's leading video cards to compare and review. The general packaging has not changed much from my previous look at the AIW 8500DV (the same basic software is included, with the option of the useful RF remote). In addition, there has been no major jump in technology as all of these cards are based off of the same Radeon GPU. So I recommend that you take a look at my last review for the basic technologies that are included with the Radeon 8500; you can find it here. I know that some of you Nvidia fans cringe when you see an ATI video card, but you have to admit that ATI has done a great job and taken a large step into the market. It is a very critical time for both ATI and Nvidia. With these video cards that you will see in this review, there is a choice for everyone. ATI has done an exceptional job on meeting your specific needs; whether it be multimedia, gaming or both. Next Page: Radeon AIW
