The first thing you see before starting the install of MySoundStudio is the installation options.
As you may have noticed, besides the MySoundStudio Program, they also included two Tutorial Support Files and a Quick Start Guide. The Quick Start Guide is a seven page manual that will get you started playing with simple sound files. It is easily printed off since it is in PDF format. The tutorial support files however are in html format. We will look at the tutorials a bit later.
After installing MySoundStudio and the two tutorial support files, I opened up the program to see a nice looking user interface. Being the non-sound editing guru that I am, I also found it a little on the intimidating side. I am the type person to start playing with something before actually reading the help files. Naturally, I treated MySoundStudio no different. Before I knew it I had one of my “Complete Album” MP3’s that I had taken from my CD collection, loaded in ready for editing. When I made this MP3 I made it as a complete album simply because I liked the whole album. Later, I felt like I should have separated the songs so I could mix them with other songs for making my personalized CD’s. At this point I had no idea of how or if I could even split them with this software. I soon found myself printing off that seven page Quick Start Guide to see if it could help.
